It seemed like I was just being strung along for the entire first half. I felt like nothing really happened until after 300 pages. Either way, I was left feeling horribly underwhelmed. Maybe because of that, my expectations were set sky high. After seeing review after review, RAVING about this book and how incredible it was, and seeing people’s WTF status updates, I expected this book to be mind blowing. The second book was really good, and I liked it much better. I liked the first book, but didn’t love it. It is with a heavy heart that I write this review. It has been a very, very long time since a book has disappointed me so much. Loyalties are betrayed, guilt and innocence tangle, and fate and chance collide in this shocking conclusion to Mara Dyer’s story. She never had to imagine how far she would go for vengeance. She doesn’t stop to think about where her quest for the truth might lead. Mara Dyer wants to believe there's more to the lies she’s been told. Genres: Romance, Science Fiction, Young Adult The Retribution of Mara Dyer by Michelle Hodkin
